Age 80; died May 6, 2011; born April 2, 1931 in Saginaw, MI to David and Margaret (Wilmot) Premo. Mr. Premo was a devoted husband, loving father and doting grandfather who loved spending time with his family. He worked for General Motors at the Grey Iron Foundry for 36 years and retired as a maintenance supervisor. He was an avid hunter, enjoyed bowling and wood carving and was a medal winner in competition target shooting. Preceded in death by his parents and sister, Gloria Barclay. Surviving are his wife of 60 years, Jeanne; daughter, Theresa (Gary Peaphon) Premo-Peaphon of Lansing; sons, David (Joanne) of St. Charles, Raymond (Debra) of Santa Rosa Beach, FL, Thomas (Dawn) of Freeland, Daniel (Jodi) of St. Joe, IN and Patrick (Cathy) of Wylie, TX; 19 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and sister, Mary Lou Premo of Auburn Hills. Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday, May 11, 11:00 AM at Catholic Community of St. Jude, 801 N. Bridge St., DeWitt, MI with Rev. Dwight M. Ezop officiating. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 205 E. Washington, DeWitt, MI and Wednesday 1 hour prior at the church. Interment will be in DeWitt Cemetery, DeWitt, MI.
