This comes a shock..Fr. David. I loved the retreats at St. FRANCIS  retreat center. You were inspiring and also enjoyable...May You see the face of God this day..Bless your family.

Father David was a Rock Star in my book. He had a heart of gold. He was one of the kindest humans I’ve ever met. When we first met, we instantly became friends. Condolences to Sean and his family and to all of his family members. I’m so sad that he’s no longer on this earth but have to believe he is in Heaven. RIP brother.

We meet Father David after he connect with me on Facebook in regards to property that my family had for sale.  He came out and I gave him a tour.  It wasn't long after that his foundation purchased the 60 acres that was my grandparents farm.  He was a great visionary, who had amazing plans for this property.  He always keep us informed on what was going to happen with the property.  We are sad that we will not see this vision come to life.  We pray that he will be an angel on the shoulder of the new owners to lead them to his dream.  We feel blessed to have known him.  Our thoughts and prayers are with his son and family. My heart and prayers are with all who are mourning the loss of Father David’s physical presence with us on earth.  We have so many stories and beautiful memories  of times shared, including at St. Mary’s, Cursillo, Faithfest, St. Francis Retreat Center, Spritual Direction, Solano’s Casey Center, to name a few.  His hospitality at St. Mary’s and invitation to attend Cursillo changed our lives forever.  At my Cursillo I promised God that I would not let fear hold me back any longer and I would try to say “yes” to whatever He called me to.  I have said that Father David was God’s instrument to fully implement this and take me way out of my comfort zone to serve Him.  Each “yes” builds and grows faith and ability in God’s will.  I have joked that one needs running shoes to work with Father David.  Being on various leadership teams and ss a weekend lay director, I have been privileged to experience so many lives touched and brought into relationship with God through Father David’s ministry.  I have also seen His beautiful.heart and total self-giving to the point of exhaustion.  One particular memory that keeps coming to mind this week is at the retreat center when I was walking one afternoon near the drive.  Father David drove in, music playing, pulled up to me, rolled down his window with such a joyful, child-like look.  He was singing and jamming to “I’m Going Home” by Chris Tomlin.  We talked a minute about the song and meaning and he drove on still singing.  That moment brought pure joy to my heart through his contagious joy and the Holy Spirit.  He has told me He yearned for heaven and shared some of his heavenly experiences with us through the years. There is so much of his spirituality that we find flowing through us. One of the last things I said to Father David when we visited him last week  was that I was continuing to pray for him and his loved ones and I asked him to pray for Mike and I and our family.  Peace in Christ.

I am sorry to hear of Fr Dave’s passing. Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and may perpetual light shine upon him. May his soul and the souls of all the faithful departed through the mercy of God rest in peace.  
I will always hold fond memories of Fr. Dave from the St. Francis Retreat Center, Faith Fest, meetings at the diocese to improve ministries for individuals and families with special needs and the Institute for Spiritual Directors. He will be missed. My condolences to his family.

Fr. David ministered to me as pastor of St. Mary Church in Charlotte. He “pushed “ me into cursillo which I was very reluctant to do. 😁 It turned out to be the discovery of my most intimate friends who helped me find a deeper spirit than I could ever imagine. Fr. David was a mystic who helped many find Jesus, especially the needy prisoners who were lost. I look forward to hugging him again in paradise. The Lord looks after His sheep  in a way that humanity just can’t fathom. May Fr. David Rosenberg rest in peace.

I met Fr David Rosenberg after the passed away of Fr Larry Delaney.  Fr David Rosenberg became loving and blessed man at retreat center. Memories of Fr David Rosenberg for me faithfest and mini potluck dinner with him and mass at his apartment at St Francis retreat center. Plus mass and birthday party at his house in Eaton rapids. His talks would always be me and my room and house where I live but he always make me laugh and I love it when I got ride on golf carts during faithfest with him and his house in Eaton rapids. He really knew how to throw party especially his cooking was out of this world good. I got see him again twice I told him that I love him and take care of himself but there was one thing that he didn't get to do or might ride in my best friend car one day I think he has already in own way.  He had a one Voice and Soul on fire for God spiritual direction and I think his spirit will be in all us for years to come he light of God that flooded like a river and holy Spirit like a crack of lightening about him he knew how to help people that needs help I will forever miss him but I have one thing about him he loves St Michael.

What a great loss to our Catholic community. Father Rosenberg was one of the finest priest I have known. He was loving, kind and one the most Godly man of faith. His faith never wavered even in his great persecution. His heart was full of love and forgiveness towards those who persecuted him. He emulated our God in all aspects of his behavior. 
He was a great teacher in all areas of spiritual life and used his fine, intelligent mind to guide so many to a deeper spirituality. His guidance, his faith, his life will be deeply missed.

I met Fr. David at the retreat center in DeWitt. He helped me so much.  I lost track of him when he left there. I've missed him. I had hoped to see him once more,  but it wasn't meant to be.  Thankfully, he's left behind many trained spiritual directors, including mine. Godspeed to paradise, Fr. David.

We loved Fr. Rosenberg and he will be missed, he was a warm soul in this world.
We always enjoyed his welcoming spirit and uplifting personality.

Father David Rosenberg taught me so much about the Love and Mercy of God. It was such an honor to serve on team for Cursillo when he was Chaplin and serve as lay director at St Francis retreat center. We experienced so much together, parish weekends, various retreats, faith fest, etc… All this continued to pour graces into my heart when I studied to become a spiritual director under his care. I will forever be indebted to him. At our parish we use the book of the Gospels that he gifted to me upon my ordination as a permanent Deacon in the Grand Rapids Diocese. I think of him as I proclaim the Gospel. May perpetual light shine upon him and may his soul rest in peace!

I have known David since High School in Galesburg, IL.  We became friends and that friendship has lasted through all these years.  We were fellow travelers on the road of faith, art and the joy of music. My deepest sympathies go out to all of his family and may David now rest in the peace of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Father David was my spiritual director for many years. He was an unbelievably faithful and joyful man who always left me inspired after every one of our sessions.  The gospel and love of Jesus was his fuel, and that was evident with how he lived and ministered to those around him.  God rest his soul and may his work of evangelization continue!

During this time when no words are adequate or sufficient, may God's peace that passes all human understanding (Philipians 4:6-7), guard the hearts and minds of all who mourn: family, friends, colleagues, and fellow alumni of the Spiritual Direction program. I will always remember Fr. David's warm hospitality, his kind smile, and most of all his reminder to seek Christ diligently each day--and during every season of life.

I’m praying for all of you in Fr. David’s family and I am very sorry for your loss. No one has helped me more spiritually than Fr. David. He brought Jesus to every person he met in every circumstance. He challenged me. He taught me how to have a personal relationship with Jesus. He was a great mentor and friend. Most importantly, he led by example. His joy made me want to know Jesus better. 
 Everyone I know that has met  Fr. David has a similar story. You could not meet him and remain the same. I will strive to bring Jesus to every person I meet in Fr. David’s honor, for the glory of God.
