Donna Irene Merrill died on August 12, 2018 at Prestige Pines in DeWitt, MI. She was born on June 6, 1930 to Edmond and Florence (Hickerson) Wing in DeWitt Township, MI. She graduated from Lansing Eastern High School in 1948. She married Lawrence F. Merrill on March 19, 1949 in Edmore, MI. She was employed at Farm Bureau Insurance Co. in Lansing, MI for 25 years, retiring in 1992.
Donna was preceded in death by her husband and parents; sister, Charlene Smith; and brothers Arthur and Alan Wing. She is survived by her children, Gail (Ray) Mance of Lansing, MI, Keith (Lynn) Merrill of DeWitt, MI; grandchildren, Penny (Erik) Sather of Houston, TX, Tracy Mance, of Lansing, MI, and Bryce (Rosie) Merrill of DeWitt, MI; great grandchildren, Molly Sather, Gabriella, Paisley, and Aiden Merrill.
The family would like to thank the staff at Prestige Pines for their kindness, compassion and care for Donna these past three years.
A memorial service will be held for Mrs. Merrill at 2:00 pm on Sunday, August 19, 2018 at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes DeWitt Chapel, 205 E. Washington, DeWitt, MI with Pastor Wesley Emerson officiating. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
