Our folks were good to get us together in the summers when we were young. We always had fun, lots of good memories! I’m glad Doug and I visited a few years ago when we flew to Grand Rapids to look at a 69 Camaro. It was fun to see everyone and catch up on things! Aunt Sue was loved and will be missed!

I was 15 and I flew out & painted Dave & Sue's new addition then I hand scythed the weeds off their drain field and Sue said to me I wish we would of had at least one boy. Dave had to work so I spent a lot of time with Sue & the girls that week then we all drove to ND in a station wagon with a pop up camper . Early one morning uncle Dave got us all up Sue was busy getting the girls in the station wagon as Dave & I were putting down the pop up as the rain came we got a little wet but not bad ,we made good time that day thanks to an early start I'll always remember my 1st trip to Michigan . Bless her memory.

Mrs. Lusty was everyone's mom at Redeemer and had a kind word for everyone. She was one of our best parent cheerleaders during the late 1970s for the DeWitt Panthers! She could make anyone feel special and her happiness was contagious. She will be greatly missed and fondly remembered.

Sue was my youth group leader at Redeemer United Methodist Church and I have many fond memories of her always kind disposition and her love of the Lord. She can be very proud of raising four beautiful daughters and being a wonderful example to them. Earth’s loss is heaven’s gain. God bless your soul, Mrs. Lusty!

When we first came to Redeemer Church, "Sue" met us at the door and welcomed us. She had the gift of hospitality for sure. When she was part of our weekly Bible Study, I could always count on her for the Bible readings--she had a great reading voice and supplemented her reading with her observations. She has been and will be sorely missed. Our love and condolences to Dave and all the family.

I am so sorry for your loss Lusty family. I loved when Miss Sue came to my hair salon! She always insisted on folding my towels and insisted on tearing off any loose threads. I think there were a couple times she came and washed my dirty dishes while she waited for her appointment. Her servants heart will always be remembered. Prayers and thought for you all.💜

Dave & Daughters,
We are SO sorry to hear about the death of Sue. She was such a remarkable woman. We loved talking to her - she was so full of life, compassion and love. All five of you daughters have a piece of her - the easy smile, the laughter, great cooks, being independent, motivated, and family oriented. She was loved by all who met and knew her - you all have been truly blessed to have her as your mom and wife. May God give you the strength to get you through this difficult time. God Bless!!
