

Douglas had many interests including golf, hunting, bowling, hanging out with his buddies. He played fast pitch softball, was an avid MSU fan, and also enjoyed watching the Detroit Tigers and Lions games. Douglas loved his ’75 olds convertible. He was a member of the Bath American Legion Post 212, and an honorary member of the DeWitt VFW Honor Guard. Douglas started the fish fries at the VFW Post. His love of family and his buddies shone through all that he did. He especially enjoyed picking pumpkins with his grandchildren.
Douglas was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Brenda Schieve; brothers, Raymond Kosloski, Robert Kosloski; sisters, Wanda Lee Kosloski, Darlene Kosloski. Surviving to cherish his memory are his wife and companion for 39 years, Darlene Fern Kosloski; daughters, Diane (Wayne) Hoeve, Karen (Steve) Martin, Heather (Jon) Mc Geachy; son-in-law, Steve Schieve; grandchildren, Lucas Zampetti, Joshua Zampetti, Kyle Hoeve, Kaleb Hoeve, Kaylynn Martin, Alyssa Martin; great grandchildren, Donovan Zampetti, Nicolai Zampetti, Isla Zampetti; sister, Bertha Gilmore; brother-in-law, Rob Losey.
A Memorial Service will take place November 8, 2017 at 11 am at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 549 E. Mount Hope Ave., Lansing with visitation one hour prior. The family will also receive visitors November 7, 2017 from 3-7 pm at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 205 E. Washington, DeWitt. Those desiring may make contributions in memory of Douglas to Bethlehem Lutheran Church, and DeWitt VFW Post 671, 12252 S. US 27, DeWitt, MI 48820.
