Elizabeth A McKinley

Born March 24, 1934. She graduated from Everett High School in 1952. She looked forward to gathering with her classmates every year. Betty also enjoyed playing Bridge, (some of her Bridge partners she knew for 50+ years), genealogy, Michigan football, and knitting. She knitted sweaters for all the babies in the family.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Capt. James H. McClain and Donald D. McKinley; daughter, Jackie (McClain) Roy; Son, Greg McClain; and son-in-law Trevor Johnson.

She is survived by her daughter Sheri Sivec; son, Scott McClain; daughters, Laurie Johnson and Kelli (Mark) Koonter; special family friend, Lorna Stone; grandchildren, Jason (Stephanie) Roy, Erin Jacobs, Jaime (Mike) DeSantis, Joshua (Tammy) Ashworth-Sivec, Kelsey, Brianna, and Nickolas Johnson, Zachary, Calvin, and Cameron Koonter, Melissa and Justin McClain; and eight great grandchildren.

The family would like to thank the staff at Gunnisonville Meadows Senior Assisted Living and the entire office and field staff from Careline Physicians Services, Hospice and Palliative Care. With a very special thank you to her nurse Katy and social worker Elizabeth.

In lieu of flowers contributions to Wounded Warriors or Alzheimer's would be appreciated.

Family will accept friends Thursday, April 28th from 2pm to 4pm at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes - Lansing Chapel - 900 E Michigan Ave Lansing, MI 48912 following with a 7pm service with a 1 hour prior visitation at 6pm.
