Fledda O. Canfield Bath, MI Beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Fledda Canfield died on October 4, 2012 at the age of 91. She was born to Omer and Ona Watson on April 18, 1921 and was a resident of Bath, MI most of her life. Mrs. Canfield was a longtime member of Bath Baptist Church. After 27 years of service, she retired from General Motors. She was an avid reader, enjoyed flowers, bird watching and winters in Florida. Fledda was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert (1995); 3grandchildren, Randy Canfield, Joy Canfield and Robert Canfield; 2 great-grandchildren, Austin Canfield and Ryan Canfield; 3 sisters and 3 brothers. Surviving to cherish her memory are daughter, Elaine (Barry) Tarrant and sons, Terry (Mary) Canfield and Keith (Dolores) Canfield; 10 grandchildren and numerous great and great-great grandchildren. A funeral service, officiated by Rev. Richard Cole and Rev William Hale, will be held Monday, October 8, 2012 at Bath Baptist Church at 1:00 p.m. with visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Rose Cemetery. Those wishing may make contributions to Bath Baptisit Church, 13527 Webster Road, Bath, MI 48808, in memory of Mrs. Canfield. Mothers are a treasure. We love them, learn from them and emulate them. It was my privilege to know your mother, Fledda. She had a great sense of humor and a great love for chicken wings. We'll always miss her empty place at the table. God speed Fledda.
