Jean was born October 24, 1933, in Mt Levi Arkansas, to Sherman Tecumseh Warren and Maggie Terry. She was raised in Johnson County, Arkansas and Portageville, Missouri. She was the former Head Cashier for Wrigley’s Grocery Store in Frandor in East Lansing, Michigan where she met her husband. Most of her life she was a devoted wife and mother. She loved spending time at the Wells Lake cabin in upper Michigan. In later years, she spent much time traveling to Arkansas to visit her son and daughter-in-law and later her only grandson. She worked prior to her retirement in sales for Jim’s Amish Structures first in Haslett, Michigan and later at St. Johns, Michigan. However, her family was the most important aspect of her life. She was strong willed, headstrong and a very hard worker. She was happiest when she could work outdoors.

She is survived by her son Stan (Judy) Reed, of Bono, Arkansas and grandson Derek (Carolyn) Reed of Batesville, Arkansas; sister Edith Ross of Amhurst, Ohio; brother Joe Warren of LeRoy, Michigan; sister Dorothy Shepard of Haslett, Michigan; brothers Roy (Sue) Warren and Troy Warren of Wakeman, Ohio and Dale (Brenda) Warren of Berlin Heights, Ohio, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister and brother-in-law, Willia (Herbert) Bivins; sister, Genevieve Alene Warren; sister and brother-in-law, Margaret (Eddie) Anderson; brothers-in-law, Virble Ross and Martin Shepard; and sister-in-law Helen Warren.

Pall bearers are Brian Shepard, Derek Reed, Craig Warren, Mark Warren, Danny Warren and James Whitacre. Honorary pallbearers are Mark Warren and Keith Warren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee.
