On Wednesday, September 7, 2022, Fredrick Arnold Root (Fred) passed away at the age of 69. Fred was known for his sense of humor, generosity and signature smile. For nearly five decades Fred was the president of Central Michigan Engravers, where his employees became a second family to him. It could be said that if Fred had a motto about business it would be "to always be fair". He was loved by many and will be dearly missed.
Fred is survived by his wife, Angela DeYoung, his son, Alex Root, daughter, Mariah Root (Nick Tol), granddaughter, Elodie, brothers, Steve, Randy, Eric, Jim and Blake, and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father, Charles Root, Step-mother, Shirley Root and brother, Chris Root.
The family has chosen to honor Fred's life privately.
