The first time I met Gary was when he picked my sister and I up to take us out to dinner when they were still dating. Now some 30+ years later I can still see the smile on his face as he entered the house and kissed my sister Judy. The love they shared was apparent and got them thru years of highs and lows. I know that love continues even thru death. Our sincerest condolences.
Love Dee & Jay

Gary’s good humor is what I appreciated and remember most. Whether it was patience with younger cousins in his teens or sharing a good story at family reunions. When I think of him it’s always with a smile. I regret not being able to be with the family, but our love goes out to Judy, Jane, Shirley and the gathered members of the Hogle and Stevens clans.

I could never write any words that would ever do my grandpa justice. What a funny, dedicated and loving man I had as a grandfather. On his last day, as I held his hand, his mouthed “I love you” to me with such assurance that I will carry with me for all my days. Every time I hear Neil Diamond or watch an MSU game, I will feel you with me. I love you so much grandpa and I would give anything for one of your famous hugs that would almost suffocate me. Forever in my heart💗

My name is Erika , I am privelidge to be Gary's oldest Grand daughter. I will miss so many things about him and have so many amazing memories that I could go on about but I will just post some highlights.
When I turned 12 my Grandpa Hogle picked me up for my birthday and took me around to a few different stores to find me an outfit. The outfit he found was a sleeveless button up flowered shirt and some Khaki shorts(not my particularstyle at 12). I tried them on to make him happy with the intent to tell him I didn't really like that style, but when I came out he just had the happiest look on his face that we bought the outfit immediately, he then took me to A&W our favorite spot and to my softball game after. That was my most treasured memory.

The way he sounded when he answered the phone and said Hello Erika.
His strong hugs were you can feel him giving you his love.
Him saying "Alright I'll let you go I don't want to burn up your minutes."
Being hastled about not having my Christmas list done in July. 😂
His smile.
His jokes.
Our Hogle Family camping trips.
His Laugh❤

I wish he was still here to pass on hunting at Luther on to my son but I'm sure his Bumpa, Uncle Gary and his Uncle Brandon have learned enough from you to pass along.

I love you so much Grandpa and I will miss you forever. Until we meet again ❤
