Born in Saint Johns, Michigan on August 10, 1951, she was the dedicated wife of Allen Sibley for fifty-four years and the treasured mother of Pat (Noel) Sibley and Tim (Pam) Sibley.
She leaves behind her cherished grandchildren, Shana (Keaton) Sibley-Woodend, Josh Sibley, Jacob Sibley, and Ashley (Richard) Sibley, as well as her newly born great-grandson, Russell William Barry. Gaye is also survived by her siblings Allen Geller, Rita Geller, Linda (Jeff) Bledsoe, Kathy Johnson, Ella (Al) Rondeau, and Jim (Tara) Geller, along with many nieces and nephews.
Gaye's professional life was spent in service to her community as a rural mail carrier for the United States Postal Service in DeWitt. But, she wasn't just a mail carrier; she was a cherished friend and confidante to those on her route. Over the years, she formed deep bonds with the people she served. Whether it was a friendly wave from her mail truck or a brief chat at the mailbox, Gaye made every interaction meaningful. She retired after a devotion of twenty-nine years to the USPS.
Her family and friends will remember Gaye for her exceptional generosity and selflessness. She was a creative spirit who found great pleasure in crafting, card making, and scrapbooking. Her eclectic collections ranged from dolls to mini tea sets, gnomes, and pieces of USPS memorabilia.
Gaye thrived in the company of her dearest friends Laura Curtis and Tricia Bellingar, and her sister Linda Bledsoe, especially while engaging in Stammpin' Up events, which she found greatly rewarding.
Above all, Gaye's role as a grandmother was the cornerstone of her life, her greatest joy, and her most profound source of fulfillment. From the moment her grandchildren entered her world, she embraced her role with a boundless love and unwavering dedication that knew no bounds.
Those who knew her will miss her handmade cards for birthdays, holidays, and other occasions, a testament to her thoughtful nature.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Florence (Shoup) Geller and Carl Geller, as well as her siblings Ron Geller, Norm (Carolyn) Geller, and Joe (Cindy) Geller, and by her sister-in-law Diane (Richard) Pease.
Gaye's legacy is one of abundant kindness and warmth, and she will continue to be honored and remembered by all the lives she touched.
