Gerald lived in DeWitt his whole life; he served in the U.S. Air Force. He was the owner/operator of S&J Heating and Insulation; he was a very hard worker. He was a very active member of DeWitt VFW Post #671. Gerald loved to travel and fish. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Dale Shooltz; sister, Edna Shooltz. Surviving are wife, Kay Smith; sons, William Shooltz, Bruce Shooltz, Craig Shooltz, William (Gloria) Smith, Tom Smith; daughters, Barbara (Randy) Beach, Jeanne (Mike) Irwin, Vicki Smith; 15 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
