

Harley graduated from Sexton High School. He met Florence at a softball game and they married on January 17, 1959. They raised their family in Lansing and DeWitt, Michigan. He retired from the Lansing State Journal after 41 years of service and was a resident of DeWitt since 1970.
Harley was an avid fisherman, golfer, bowler, and softball player. Most of all he enjoyed his summer home on Drummond Island with his family and friends.
Harley is survived by five sons, Tim, Richard, Bill (Paula), Jerry, and Joseph (Kimberly) Curtis; seven grandchildren, Craig, Allison, Christin, Ryan, Shianne, Frederick, and Nikolas; four great-grandchildren, Spencer, Clayton, Skylar and Kaedyn; sisters, Margaret Curtis Gerard and Mary Keusch.
Harley was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Florence (2012); infant daughter, Nancy Jean Curtis; brothers, Robert Curtis, Johnny Curtis, and Richard Curtis.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 29, 2015 at 3.00 P.M. at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 205 E. Washington St., DeWitt, Michigan, with Reverend Dan Wilkinson officiating.
