Herbert is survived by his sons, Scott (Sue) and Jay (Regina) Searles, Grandchildren, Michael and Victoria. Sisters, Helen Rogers, Harriet Graham and Christine (George) Parker, brother Rod (Donna) Searles, sister-in-laws Linda Searles , Barb Searles and special friend Elaine Brown.
Herbert was an avid sportsmen in fishing and hunting. He also had a passion for woodworking. He worked and retired from General Motors after 31 years. After retiring Herbert loved to spend his winters in Arizona.
Services for Herbert will be held on Thursday, September 27, 2018 at Gorsline Runciman DeWitt Chapel, at 11:00 a.m. with a one hour prior visitation.
In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to a veterans organization of your choice in Herbert's name.
