

James Lloyd Ferguson, born June 26, 1931 to Lloyd and Hazel (Hamilton) Ferguson in Port Huron, Michigan, was reunited with his wife in going to be with his Lord on May 22, 2013. Mr. Ferguson served our country during the Korean War as a Sergeant in the US Army (1952-1954). He received numerous decorations, including the National Defense Service Medal, Republic of Korea Presidential Unit Citation and the Combat Infantry Badge. He and his wife, Barbara (Curtis) were married from November 26, 1955 until her death March 19, 2001. He worked as route salesman and branch manager for Continental Baking Co. for over 29 years. He also operated an independent distributorship for McKee Baking – Little Debbie for over 10 years. Jim was an avid Michigan fan and loved to play golf. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family and celebrating family occasions, especially with his wife, Barbara of 46 years. He was blessed with many loving friends and neighbors and will be missed greatly. Jim is survived by his children, Kim (Karl) Bader, Mike (Liz) Ferguson, Bruce (Patty Parachini) Ferguson and Scott (Connie) Ferguson; and grandchildren, Kelly Ferguson, Mairi Ferguson, Leah Ferguson, Grace Ferguson, Jamesohn Bader, Curtis Ferguson, Nick Ferguson, Abbey Ferguson, Noah Ferguson, Joseph Ferguson and Graham Ferguson. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Janice Clarke and Sharon Falk. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, May 30, at the Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 205 E. Washington in DeWitt, with Elder Virginia Wickwire officiating. Family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 29 and one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
