James Lee Holliday, born October 18, 1943 to Ralph and Vivian (Green) Holliday, passed away on April 5, 2013. James retired from Oldsmobile following 40 years of service. He fought a long courageous fight with esophageal cancer and passed peacefully at home, surrounded by his family. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Sue Cunningham. Surviving to cherish his memory are his wife, Karen; daughters, Lynnette Ketchum, Barbara (Duane) McClung, and Stacey (Tracy) Boutwell; nephews, Clay, Jim (Judy), and Jeff (Anne) Cunningham; grandchildren, Travis and Lucas Ketchum, Heather (Kenny) Hager, Devin (Cody Sleeseman) McClung, Tyler McClung, Spencer and Shane Boutwell, Olivia and Avrie Dawson; great-grandchildren, Levi Hager and Easton Hager, arriving in July; sister, Sharon Holliday; mother-in-law, Erdine Phillips; sister-in-law, Suzanne (Dennis) Boone; and brother-in-law, Donald Cuningham. Committal will take place at 11:00 a.m. on April 27 at Oakwood Cemetery in Lowell, Michigan. A memorial gathering will be held from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 27, at the Riley Township Hall, 7110 West Pratt Road, DeWitt, Michigan 48820.
