On Sunday, October 23rd Ben and Jerry’s stock price fell sharply with the news of Jim Watson’s passing. It was a beautiful fall day when Jim joined those who have passed before him: granddaughter, Kayla Ann Grier, son, Jason, wife, Vicki, and his beloved parents, Martha (Midge) and Lloyd. Jim filled a room with laughter, loved with all he had, and as those close to him know “did it his way”. He served in the U.S. Navy and retired from General Motors working in Oldsmobile assembly. Jim was survived by his daughter, Jamie; brother and best friend, Bill (Ellen); stepdaughters, Jessica (Jason) Parrott, Meghan (Kyle) Rowinski, sister, Sharon (Dick) Dedic; and many grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Jim was a gun enthusiast, treated his many dogs like children, and is now at peace.
Private services will be held. Interment will be at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Bath, Michigan.
