

Jill Ann Byelich of DeWitt, Michigan was born February 20, 1979 to William and Diane (Budnick) Brege and passed away suddenly September 2, 2014. Jill was a compassionate person who enjoyed life, and had a determination matched by very few. Jill was a great nurturer and provider who gave so much to so many throughout her life. She was deeply devoted to her husband of 8 years, Jordan, and their sons, Tristan and Nolan. She enjoyed reading, gardening and baking, and had an affinity for the ocean. She earned a BA in psychology from Saginaw Valley State University and worked for several state of Michigan departments, most recently as a grant advisor with the Michigan State Police. She was a member of the Catholic Community of St. Jude in DeWitt. Jill was preceded in death by her mother, Diane Brege, her father-in-law, George Byelich, and her beloved dog, Spikers. Surviving to cherish her memory are her husband and sons, her father, and her brother, Nicholas (Amy) Brege. A funeral mass will be celebrated for Jill at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 6, at the Catholic Community of St. Jude, 801 N. Bridge St. Her family will receive friends and family from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, September 5, at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 205 E. Washington, in DeWitt. The Rosary will be prayed at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. There will also be one hour of visitation at the church prior to the funeral mass.
