Born April 5, 1953 to Ralph and Elsie (Haines) Johnson in Harvey, Illinois, Jon graduated from Eastridge High School in Kankakee. He worked as an engineer. After retiring, he moved to DeWitt to be close to his family. Jon loved to golf, work on his cars, and tinker.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ralph Johnson.
He will be lovingly remembered by his children, Amanda (Jon) Goerge and Eric (Ericka) Johnson; his grandchildren, Kennedy and Morgan Goerge, and Ashwin Johnson; his mother, Elsie Johnson; and his sisters, Judy Johnson and Nancy Krumpolz.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, July 29, 2017 at 11:00am at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, DeWitt Chapel, 205 E. Washington St., DeWitt.
