Linda Diane Moffitt

Linda was born in Flint, Michigan on October 24, 1942. Linda is predeceased by her parents, Walter and Vivian Ogden and her husband Dennis Ray Moffitt. She is survived by her children, Michelle (Michael) Fisher, Travis (Renee) Moffitt, and Brandon (Dena) Moffitt as well as eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Linda was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She gave her whole heart to her husband and family. She loved to cook and bake – especially for the grandchildren! She was an avid reader and loved to learn. She also loved music, had a sharp ear for harmonies and directed the church choir for many years.

Linda was a lifelong minister of the Gospel and teacher of the Bible. She devoted her entire life to helping others come to know Jesus as their personal Savior. She spent many years pastoring the Looking Glass River Chapel Church of God in Dewitt, MI which was a great joy to her. Those of us who were blessed by her spiritual care know that she is now receiving her eternal reward in full.

Her love and guidance will be missed but we have great comfort in knowing that because of Jesus, we will see her again.

Everyone is welcome to join us for a ‘Celebration of Life’ Service in her honor: Saturday, June 25th at Jesus Church, 11733 S. US 27, Dewitt, MI at 11 a.m. Luncheon and time of remembering Linda and sharing stories will be from noon-2 p.m. at the VFW Hall, 12250 S. US 27, Dewitt, MI.

And now, dear brothers and sisters, we want you to know what will happen to the believers who have died so you will not grieve like people who have no hope. For since we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so, through Jesus, God will bring with him those who have died. 1 Thessalonians 4:13 & 14
