Louis Allen McAdams

Louis McAdams of Lansing, MI, 89, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by loved ones on Monday, March 2, 2015. Louis was born at home on April 21, 1925 to Cyril A. and Wanieta G. (Hudson) McAdams. He married the love of his life, Leone Martha (Foster), on February 20, 1953 in Blanchard, MI. Louie worked for 47 ½ years at Melling Drop Forge. Louie enjoyed bowling, had an appreciation for history, remembering dates and trivia. He had a talent for storytelling and through that shared rich family history. Louis was preceded in death by his parents, brother Harold A. and his wife Leone of 41 years. He is survived by his children Robert McAdams, Carol (Pete) Wisniewski, Leon McAdams, Cheryl (Mike) Woodruff and Carla McAdams; 12 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren, his brother Eugene (Lena) McAdams and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 205 E. Washington in DeWitt, on Thursday, March 5 at 1:00 p.m. with visitation beginning at 11:00 a.m. The family is being served by Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes DeWitt Chapel.
