Margaret Parkhouse DeWitt, MI

Born June 5, 1936 in Beverly, Ohio to Ralph and Etta (Stengel) Scott, passed away April 22, 2011 at the age of 74. Margaret was married January 3, 1960 to her husband James F., who survives her. Also surviving are daughters, Lisa (Kenneth) Tallman, Penney (Jeff Barish) Parkhouse; son, James D. Parkhouse; 7 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and sister, Sue Ford. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Ray; and eldest son, Wendell Scott. Margaret enjoyed farming, gardening, canning, cooking, and sewing. Most of all, Margaret loved time with grandchildren and great-grandchildren and her special cat Casper. As such a caring soul, she will be missed by her family and friends. Funeral services will be held at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 205 E. Washington, DeWitt, MI at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 27, 2011 (with visitation 2 hour prior to service).
