Margie shared her life with her husband, Jerome, of 50 years and raised their four sons. She was the family’s matriarch, leading always with unconditional love, kindness, generosity, and support. She was selfless with her time, love, and resources. She was a homemaker, avid reader, enjoyed newspaper crossword puzzles, loved children, enjoyed family parties, camping, and travel. She was always present at her sons’, grandchildren’s, and other family members’ athletic and scholastic events throughout the years. She tremendously enjoyed being Grandma, Great-Grandma, and Aunt Margie. She loved pets too. She was the best babysitter, taxi driver, life teacher, Captain of the family phone tree, and cleverly created quaint alibis when deemed necessary. Everyone was always welcome in her home, whether for a visit, advice, a snack or a meal, any project, or to pick her up to go shopping. She has fed many in her lifetime, and catered and hosted several family gatherings. She was a huge blessing to her family, friendship circle, and community. She will be dearly missed everyday but never forgotten.
Margie studied education and home economics at Michigan Agricultural College (MSU). She was a member for the Dewitt VFW Auxiliary Post 671, and in prior years she served as a Boy Scout Leader, hair salon receptionist, a nanny, Clinton County News Columnist, and was involved in a child study group.
