Mary Jo was preceded in death by her parents and siblings Gary, Michael, Janee, Peggy and Nora Ann.
Left to cherish her memory is her beloved husband of 52 years, Ronald Clair; children, Rip (Stephanie), Steve (Heather), Katie (Chad) Ballard, and Jon (Laurie); Grandchildren, Kiefer, Sebastian (Alayna), Jared, Sage, Kameron, Savannah, Cole, Steffen, Kennedy, Keegan, Raegan, Eian, Hilary, Myah, Ellie, Colm, and great grandson; Carrick. Her siblings, Susie (Dick), Chuck (Berta), Jim (Cindy), Jon, Katy (Berto), Joe (April), Kevin (Patty), many, many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Mary Jo saw the best in, and appreciated every single person in her life. She was the nurturing center of all who knew her. Everyone looked to her for wisdom and guidance, as she led by example.
Mary Jo was cherished by her "millions" of friends and family.
First and foremost she loved her family. She was a dedicated grandmother and cherished every moment with them. Her life centered around her faith in God, social justice causes, Notre Dame football, AMI, her Irish heritage, Euchre and enjoying time at her lake house.
A visitation for Mary Jo will be held Tuesday, October 2, 2018 from 2-4 p.m. at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 205 E. Washington, DeWitt, MI 48820 and from 6-8 p.m. at St. Therese Church, 102 W. Randolph St., Lansing, MI 48906 with a vigil starting at 7 p.m. with Deacon David Borzenski to preside. A funeral mass will be presided by Father Michael Kuchar on Wednesday, October 3, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. with a one hour prior visitation at St. Therese Church, 102 W. Randolph St., Lansing, MI 48906. Burial will take place after the service at Gunnisonville Cemetery, 2000 E. Clark Rd, Lansing, MI 48906.
In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to Social Justice Ministries at St. Therese Parish, 102 West Randolph, Lansing, MI 48906.
