Michael T. Becka

Michael T. Becka, age 77, passed away on June 14, 2026. He was born on February 14, 1949, in Cleveland, OH, the son of Stanley and Florence Becka. Mike married the love of his life, Pamela Becka, on August 31, 1974, in Ohio, and together they shared 49 beautiful years of marriage.

Mike received his Bachelor's in Business Administration from Akron University and Master's in Industrial Relations from Loyola University Chicago. He worked in Labor Relations at LTV Steel in East Chicago and Sparrow Hospital in Lansing.

Mike was devoted to his faith and was an active member of the Catholic Community of St. Jude. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, fishing, boating, and skiing. He loved traveling and spending time with his grandkids.

Mike is survived by his daughters, Katherine Tarleton (Rob), Deborah Novak (Cory), and Julia DeWulf (Victor); grandchildren, Jackson, Rocco, Beck, and Faye Novak; sisters, Susan Klingbeil, Mary Poduch, and Elizabeth Lansky. He was preceded in death by his wife, Pam; parents; and brothers, Stanley Joe, and John.

Visitation will be held at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes DeWitt Chapel from 6:00-9:00 pm Friday, June 19, 2026, with the Rosary prayed at 8:30 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am Saturday at the Catholic Community of St. Jude with visitation from 10:00 am until the time of Mass. The Rite of Committal will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.

He was our rock—steady, strong, and always there. His presence gave us comfort, his guidance gave us direction, and his love and faith gave us strength. While our hearts are heavy with his loss, we are grateful for the time we shared and will carry his memory with us always.
