

She was preceded in death by her devoted husband of 64 years, Frederick Thomas Belbeck; siblings Eva, Lewis, and Harold Rohrer, Mildred Bliven, Ruth Gross, and an infant brother. Surviving are her children: sons Jeffrey A. (Pat), Wayne L. (Yvonne), Randy S. (Bobbie) Belbeck, and daughter Linda S. (Jim) Phillipich; grandchildren, Craig (fiance Pam Comer) Phillipich, Ann (Michael) Farhat, Tony (Dianna) Belbeck, Tina (Charles) Ackels, Chad (Kim) Belbeck, Aaron (Cari) Belbeck, and Kendra Belbeck. Also included are great-grandchildren Madison and Cameron Phillipich, Sevren and Kainen Farhat, Austin, Alex, Alivia and Anna Ackels, Samuel and Eliza Belbeck, La’nasia and Aviana Belbeck, and several nieces and nephews, especially DeAnne Noyce, Nancy Kegle, and Michael Gross.
Myrtle loved to sing, dance, and play a competitive game of Euchre with her siblings. She enjoyed teaching her grandchildren how to play Uno, or read popular children stories to them. In her early years, she was a member of several local bowling teams, acquiring trophies and other items of recognition for her achievements in the sport. She was a lifelong member of the Thursday Afternoon Club of DeWitt. She loved to bake or prepare an assortment of jello recipies to give away or to pass along at family functions. Myrtle was loved by all who knew her.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 3, 2016 at 1:30 p.m., at Gorsline Runcimen Funeral Homes, 205 E. Washington, DeWitt with Pastor Emeritus Errol Jameson officiating. A celebration of Myrtle’s life will take place immediately following the service at VFW Post #671, 12250 South US 27, DeWitt, MI 48820.
Interment will be held at noon on Tuesday, September 6, at Deepdale Memorial Gardens for members of her immediate family and close relatives.
The family will receive friends at the chapel on Friday, September 2, from 6-8pm.
