Nancy L. Bishop (Woolace), age 87, born October 7, 1937, in Toledo, OH passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 5, 2025. She was the daughter of Lee and Iris Woolace and spent much of her life in Michigan.
Nancy was a proud graduate of Hudson High School in Hudson, Michigan, class of 1955. Following high school, she began her career as a dedicated professional, contributing her talents to Consumers Power Company and retired from the State of Michigan’s Public Health Department in the Personnel Office in 1993. Nancy married James W. Bishop, with whom she shared many years before their eventual divorce.
In her younger years, Nancy found joy in sewing and cooking. As the years went on, she embraced new ways to stay connected, discovering a love for her computer and especially Facebook, where she kept in touch with family and friends.
One of Nancy’s favorite pastimes was watching birds, especially hummingbirds. She would light up with excitement whenever they visited her feeders. Her love of nature extended to watching live webcams — from eagle nests and hummingbird hatchlings to bear cubs and freighter ships gliding across the water.
Nancy's greatest joy in life was her family, always putting the people she loved first. She will be remembered for her warm spirit, sharp wit and unwavering love for her family. She leaves behind a lasting legacy of kindness, strength and devotion. Her family will miss her dearly and hold her memory close to their hearts.
