

Patti was born in Lansing, Michigan and attended Everett High School. On August 28, 1953, she married Duane (Mack) McCormack who preceded her in death in 2001. Patti is also predeceased by her parents, Guy Richards and Edna (Ford) Richards.
Patti is survived by her daughter, Teresa (Teri) McCormack and sons, Steven (Susan) McCormack and David (Colleen) McCormack. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Rachel (Geoff) Bayer, Chance (Julia) McCormack, and Jordyn McCormack, Holly House and great-grandchildren Kaylynn House, Jalen House and Bailey Bayer.
Patti and Mack were married on August 28, 1953 and lived in California, Kentucky and Ohio before settling in the Lansing area. They owned a cottage on Big Glen Lake in Northern Michigan and spent many happy years there with family and friends. Her family meant so much to Patti. She cherished reminiscing in her later years of the time spent there with friends and family.
Patti and Mack traveled throughout the world to Europe, China, Alaska, and several cruises in the Caribbean. In Patti's earlier years, she was active in various volunteer organizations. In recent years, her faith led her to organize and maintain a food pantry for the local church. Patti loved animals and over the past few years enjoyed feeding birds and squirrels at her home. She was able to enjoy many woodland animal visitors to her bird feeders.
A memorial of her life will be held at Gorsline-Runciman DeWitt Chapel, located at 205 E. Washington Street, DeWitt, MI on February 14th, 2026, at 12 pm.
Visitation will start at 11 am until the time of the memorial service at 12 pm. Entombment will be at DeepDale Memorial Gardens, Lansing, MI
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Hospice House of Mid-Michigan, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or the Eaton County Humane Society (please find links below).
