Richard proudly served his country in the United States Navy during World War II. He was a member of the DeWitt VFW post 622. He worked at Standard Aggregate in St. Johns and was a lifetime union member. Richard enjoyed golfing, fishing, and hunting.
Richard was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley (2004); sisters, Helen Tope, Aleta Johnstone; brothers, Grant Dague, Melvin Dague, Bud Dague.
Surviving to cherish his memory are daughter, Christie (Angel) Salazar; grandchildren, Anthony Salazar, Anjenette Salazar; great grand-children, Kylie (Keno) Salazar, Andrew Salazar, Landon Salazar; great-great grandchildren, Juelz Salazar, Katalaya Cantu, Kane Cantu; sisters, Lillian Wilcox, Virginia Wilcox, Vera (Clayton) Woodruff.
A memorial service for Richard will take place at noon, Friday June 15, 2018 at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, DeWitt Chapel with visitation one hour prior. Interment with military honors will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Lansing.
