Rita J Favier Dennany

Rita Jane Dennany, surrounded by her loving family, left pain and immobility behind on September 22, 2011 to join her beloved husband Bill in heaven. She was married for 57 years to John William “Bill” Dennany, who preceded her in death on September 21, 2009. Rita was born August 31, 1932 in DeWitt, MI to Leo and Margaret Faiver. Rita’s most joyful years were spent raising her family. She is survived by daughters Sue (Bill) Rabideau, Deb (Larry) Dunham, Nancy (Bob) Hall; son Bill (June) Dennany; 9 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren. She will be forever remembered by siblings Fran Foltz, Ed (Rita) Faiver, Bernie (Diane) Faiver and Sister Helen Faiver. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday, September 26, 11:00 a.m. (with visitation 1 hour prior to service) at Catholic Community of St. Jude Church, 801 N. Bridge Street, DeWitt, MI with Rev. Fr. Dwight M. Ezop presiding. The Rite of Committal will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Lansing. Visitation will be held Sunday, September 25, 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 p.m. with a Scripture Service at 7:00 p.m., at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 205 E. Washington, DeWitt. Rita’s family would like to thank the devoted staff at Holt Senior Care, Denise Egeland of Sparrow Palative Care and the wonderful staff and volunteers at Hospice House of Mid-Michigan who provided her with comfort and peace.
