He earned two Bachelors degrees in education and business. After teaching for several years, he returned to the State of Michigan as an accountant with the Department of Education.
He retired in 2002 and renewed his "do-it-yourself" interests in home repair. He loved to play golf and was in a golf league.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert A. Patrick and Marion R. Patrick; sister, Kay Patrick-Hile.
Surviving are his wife, Judith A. Patrick; daughter, Lisa (Frank) Valencia; grandsons, Francesco and Lorenzo Valencia; brother, Michael (Shirley) Patrick; nephew, Scott (Mary) Patrick; brother-in-law, Jim Hile; sister-in-law, Carol (Sergio) Kavalhuna; nephew, John Kavalhuna; and many cousins and friends.
Bob's loving kindness, infectious smile, and intellect steadied us all.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday, November 8, 2025 at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes DeWitt Chapel. The family will receive friends from 11:00 am until the time of service.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the City Rescue Mission of Lansing or Grace United Methodist Church.
