Robert William Rinckey, born October 11, 1921 to Frederick and Ethel (Wells) Rinckey, died November 21, 2012. Mr. Rinckey was a veteran of World War II, proudly serving in the U.S. Air Force. He was employed with the Board of Water and Light for 30 years, retiring in 1984. He was a member of DeWitt Moose Lodge #2291, Haslett American Legion #269, Eagles Lodge #1039 and the Edwin J. Leyanna VFW Post #671. He was preceded in death by first wife, Geraldine in 2000, son, Steven Rinckey, daughter-in-law, Shirley Rinckey, 2 sisters and a brother-in-law. Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 10 years, Adele Golding; sons Thomas Rinckey, Charles Rinckey and Robert (Nini) Rinckey; 5 step-children; 7 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; sister, Audrey (Byron) Sabin; brother-in-law, Tony (Mary) Zasuwa; sisters-in-law, Irene Scovera and Theresa Zasuwa; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held Thursday, November 29, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes DeWitt Chapel, 205 E. Washington, DeWitt, MI with interment with military honors following at East Lawn Cemetery. Family will receive friends Wednesday, November 28 from 6-8 pm at the chapel. Those desiring may make contributions to the DeWitt Moose Lodge #2291, 15557 S. US Hwy 27, Lansing, MI 48906, in memory of Mr. Rinckey.
