Born November 15, 1934 in Lansing, MI to Elton and Thressa (Fisher) Slocum, passed away April 14, 2011 at the age of 76. Robert is a Veteran of the U.S. Army, and worked in the automotive field as a mold operator. He was an avid outdoorsman enjoying hunting, fishing and especially spending time on his John Deere Tractor. He was also known for his wonderful woodworking. Robert was preceded in death by his parents. Surviving is his loving wife, Jo; daughters, Theresa (Troy Feltman) Adams, Connie (Ken) Kraft; sons, Rob Slocum, Tim (Tammy) Slocum, Matt (Mary) Slocum, Jeff (Denise) Slocum; 10 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; 2 brothers; and 1 sister. There will a memorial service held on Saturday, June 18, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at Lakeside Chapel, 5800 Park Lake Road, Bath, MI 48808. Those desiring may make contributions to Lakeside Chapel Youth Activity Center, Bath, MI. The family is being served by Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 205 E. Washington, DeWitt.
