I was shocked to hear of Scott's passing. He and I were friends for 25 years and worked in the furniture business together. I moved back to my home state of Iowa in 2005. Scott came to visit us here. Every time I returned to Michigan to visit family and friends, Scott and I made sure to get together.
Such a loss of a great guy. Visiting Michigan will never be the same.
Mike and Nick and family, I'm so sorry for your loss.

RIP Scott... aka "Smalz"
You were loved!

I was saddened to hear of the passing of Scott. My deepest condolences go out to his family and friends.

I worked with Scott years ago at Oak Express in Lansing. I remember him being so serious about his work. Whether we were loading furniture, writing up orders, or racing each other to the next "up". Scott would be guiding is clients over to the desk and without lending a hint to them, give me a smile, as if to say..."this is how you do it". He is a fond memory. I was fortunate to have shared a bit of time with him.

God bless you Scott, and rest now in peace.

Scott was very close to my son Randy Charvat. My family and I are very grateful he was there for Randy in a very special way. The world was a better place with Scott in it. He touched a lot of lives! He was very close to my grandkids . God Bless each of you as you deal with his loss.
