Sharon Ann Less

Sharon Ann Less, age 82, of DeWitt, Michigan, peacefully entered Heaven on September 16, 2025, at The Willows of East Lansing. Born on April 20, 1943, in Johnsville, Ohio, Sharon was the beloved daughter of Orville “Stanley” Walter and Ruth Hattie Squires. She is survived by her sister, Charlotte Loy of Florida, sister, Patricia McCallister of Arizona, and brother, Myron Walter of Ohio. She was preceded in death by her brother, Stanley Walter Jr. of Ohio, and by her brother, David Walter of California.

For the past 58 years, Sharon was the cherished wife of David Less. Together, they built a beautiful life filled with love, faith, and memories that will be treasured forever.

She is survived by her three children, who were her pride and joy of her life: Renee (Mike) Lonnee of Muskegon, Michigan, Laura (Jeremy) Sheets of Mt. Pleasant, Michigan, and Bryan (Dorelle) Less of DeWitt, Michigan. Sharon was a devoted and loving grandmother to her six grandchildren, Olivia and Owen Middleton, Oliver Sheets of Mt. Pleasant, and Gavin, Paxton, and Zuri Less of DeWitt.

Her greatest joy came from time spent with her family and grandchildren — playing, laughing, and creating cherished memories together.

A former resident of Twin Lake and Fremont, Michigan, Sharon settled in DeWitt in her later years. She was a proud member of the DeWitt Garden Club and found happiness in tending to her flowers and being outdoors. She also had a love for collecting angels.

Sharon enjoyed walks, caring for her home, and above all, being surrounded by the family she so deeply loved.

Her legacy is one of deep love, faith, and devotion — to her family, her friends, and the life she lived with selflessness and humility.

She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

Funeral Services for Sharon will be held Monday, September 29, 2025 at 3:00 PM at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 205 E Washington, DeWitt, MI 48820. The family will receive friends from 2:00 pm until the time of services.
