Stephen W. Batzer, 69, passed away on Thursday, February 4, 2021 in DeWitt, Michigan. He was born on November 23, 1951 to Dranoel and Betty Batzer in Bay City, Michigan. A longtime social worker for the State of Illinois, Steve loved to unwind with a good book (especially Stephen King), a good movie (any movie, really) and found peace in nature.
He was preceded in death by his son, Joshua Batzer; his parents; and his sister, Laura Batzer.
Steve will be remembered by his step-daughters, Meggie (Patrick) Kwiatkowski and Marie Teller; his grandchildren, Violet and Judy; his brothers, Michael (Rachel) and Kevin (Kathy) Batzer; and his niece and nephew, Laura and David.
