Susan J. (Schultz) Smith was born on March 10, 1952 in St Johns, MI and passed away on Wednesday, August 1, 2012 at the age of 60. She worked for the State of Michigan for over 20 years. Susan is survived by her husband of 30 years, Joe Smith of DeWitt; sons, Matthew Ashley of DeWitt, Chris Smith of Grand Ledge, Michael Ashley Jr. of Howell; 5 grandchildren and parents Alvin and Dorothy Schultz. A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, August 4, 2012 at St Therese of Lisieux Parish, 102 W. Randolph St., Lansing at 11:00am. Visitation will be on Friday, August 3, 2012 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm, with the Rosary to be prayed at 7:30, at the Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, DeWitt Chapel, 205 E. Washington, DeWitt, MI. Contributions in Mrs. Smith’s name, may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
