William "Bill" Arthur Shellberg, age 87, was born in Lansing, Michigan to Walter and Genevieve Shellberg on April 18, 1937. He passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on November 22, 2024.
He will be fondly remembered by his family and friends and for his sense of humor. Bill retired from the State of Michigan in 1995 from the Department of Agriculture.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Sandra Wallman.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Bettie Jane Shellberg and their children Todd (Jane Miller) and Amy Motz; grandchildren Brandon (Maddie) Shellberg of St. Johns, Michigan, Emberly Motz of Lansing, Spencer Shellberg of Montrose, Colorado and Matthew (Claire) Motz of Grand Rapids, Michigan; and great grandchildren Samuel and Ellie Shellberg.
A funeral service for Bill will be held Wednesday, November 27, 2024 at 11:00 am with a visitation one hour prior at Hope Lutheran Church, 1180 W Herbison Road DeWitt, MI 48820. A private burial will take place on Friday, November 29, 2024 at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in honor of Bill may be made to Hope Lutheran Church.
