Alba "Dawn" Vroon

A native of La Ceiba, Honduras and resident of Paincourtville, passed away on March 5, 2017, at age 86. She was a loving mother, sister, grandmother and aunt who will be missed by all who loved her. She enjoyed traveling, going to the casino, cooking, watching her novellas and stargazing. She especially loved her dogs, her family here and in Honduras. She is survived by her children; Herman Vroon (Anne), and Barbara Vroon; her grandchildren, Ryan, Lance, Katelyn, Christine, Chad and 6 great grandchildren with numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Pedro and Maud Xatruch; her husband, M.H. “Dutch” Vroon and son, Carl Vroon.Visitation will be at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, Paincourtville, Thursday, March 9, 2017 at 8:30am. Mass of Christian burial will be at 11:00am. Father Graham will be officiating. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the American Heart Association.
