Ghost was my brother-in-law. He was a kind and generous person and we all loved him very much. He may have been a Landry biologically but he also belonged to the Alleman family. My mother always said he was an angel sent from above to take care of Carol, my sister. His patience and compassion is proof to that. We will miss you greatly and will never forget you. Your footprints on this earth are definitely there. Go in peach my friend.

Sincerest condolences are extended to the family and friends of Albert "Ghost" Joseph Landry. I served as commander of the Donaldsonville Army National Guard unit twice and had the pleasure of knowing Staff Sergeant Landry well. SSG Landry served his state and nation well and was a soldier I relied on heavily for his leadership and maintenance knowledge. He was key to much of our mission success. I thank him again for his service and support. Rest in Peace my friend and fellow soldier.

It is the “Soldier”
In Memorial Honor to Albert “Ghost” Joseph Landry
Louisiana National Guard

It’s the Soldier,
not the pastor/preacher, who has given us freedom of religion and worship.

It’s the Soldier,
not the reporter, who has given us freedom of the press.

It’s the Soldier,
not the poet, who has given us freedom of speech.

It’s the Soldier,
not the demonstration organizer, who has given us freedom to assemble and demonstrate.

It’s the Soldier,
not the lawyer, who has given us the right to a fair trial.

It’s the Soldier,
not the politician, who has given us the right to vote, ensures our right to Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness.
It’s the Soldier, Who salutes the Flag, who serves beneath the Flag and whose coffin is draped by the Flag, who gives the protester the right to burn the flag.

The American Soldier does not fight because he hate who is in front of him; he fights because he love who is behind him.

ETERNAL REST GRANT HIM O LORD AND LET PERPETUAL LIGHT SHINE UPON HIM.
