Allen “Leapy” Anthony Daigle, 78, died on Saturday, July 20, 2013, at home. Allen was a resident of Donaldsonville and native of Belle Rose. He was a retired butcher and member of United Food and Commercial Workers Local 327. He was also a US Army Veteran.
Allen is survived by his wife of 52 years, Geraldine “Deanie” Falcon Daigle; two daughters and sons-in-law, Brigid and Jeffrey Gonzales and Dianne and Blane Babin; five grandchildren, Josh, Connor, and Caroline Gonzales, and Katelyn “KK” and Jordan Babin; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Alton and Linda Daigle and Percy “CoCo” and Beth Daigle; mother-in-law, Onita M. Falcon; sister-in-law, Joyce and husband Earl Blanchard; and brother-in-law, Albert “Blackeye” Falcon.
Preceded in death by his parents, Elipe and Lezima Daigle; father-in-law, Albert “Chun” Falcon; and sister-in-law, Barbara Fernandez Falcon.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 23, 2013 at 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. and will resume on Wednesday, July 24, 2013 at 8:00 a.m. – 9: 30 a.m. at Ourso Funeral Home in Donaldsonville. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at St.Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Smokebend at 10:00 a.m. Entombment to follow at Ascension of Our Lord Catholic Mausoleum.
