Passed away at 4 p.m., Thursday March 20, 2014 in Gonzales. He was 83, a native of Napoleonville and resident of Paincourtville.
Visiting at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, Paincourtville, Saturday, March 22., 2014, 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, Paincourtville, at 11 a.m. conducted by Father Andrew Merrick. Entombment in the Church mausoleum under the direction of Ourso Funeral Home, Donaldsonville.
Survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Cindy and Barry Charlet, Christine and Louis Graffeo, Penny and Wally Comeaux; two sons and daughters-in-law, Kenny “Tiger” and Mary Daze’, and Blaine and Shandie Daze’; one sister Annabelle Gremillion; three brothers, Philip “P.J.” Daze’, Paul Daze’, and Henry Daze’; twelve grandchildren, Alyssa Charlet Chauvin, Shawn Charlet, Josh Graffeo, Jenna Graffeo Landry, Jenna and Lainie Comeaux, Jess, Tre’, and Timmy Daze’and Alexis Esneault, Courtney and Karleigh Daze’; and six great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by his wife, Norma Jane “Gin” Campo Daze’, his parents Philip and Aline Delaune Daze’ Sr., Joyce Faucheaux, Doris Hearld, and Aline Prejean. He was a member of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church and served as an usher. He served as a Constable, a Justice of the Peace, and the Assumption Parish Police Jury, and was a member of American Legion, and the St. Elizabeth Parish Council. He was a member of the Paincourtville Voluntary Fire Department, and a proud Veteran in the Air Force serving during the Korean Conflict.
