Alvin Antoine Torres

A native of St. James and resident of Donaldsonville, he passed away Sunday, July 28, 2013, at the age of 90. He is survived by his sisters, Rosa Mae Torres and Rosalie Torres Vessier, both of Donaldsonville; nieces and nephews, Daniel C. Naquin Jr. of Pierre Part, Mary Kay and Richard Schmitt of Prairieville, Celia and Jeffrey Blanchard of Donaldsonville; and a great nephew, Eric D. Schmitt and his fiancé, Maggie Stire, both of Denham Springs. He is preceded in death by his mother and father, Eva Ourso and Rosemond J. Torres; sister, Mercedes Torres Naquin; brothers-in-law, Daniel C. “Red” Naquin Sr. and Morris P. “Buddy” Vessier; and his Godmother, Julia O. Robert. There will be a visitation at Ourso Funeral Home in Donaldsonville, Wednesday, July 31, 2013, from 7:30 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Ascension of Our Lord Catholic Church in Donaldsonville at 11:00 a.m. with Rev.
