Annie Evelyn Gravois

Annie Evelyn Steib Gravois, 81, a native and resident of Vacherie died Sunday, the 27th of April, 2014. She is survived by her sons Albert Anthony Gravois and wife Cyndi, Matthew James Gravois and wife Rosanne, and George William Gravois and wife Paula. She is also survived by her sisters Marguerite Belle Reulet and Marie Elaine Rodrigue, as well as brothers Paul Steib, Charles Steib, and Lucien James Steib.

She was a devoted grandmother to her grandchildren: John Gravois and wife Angie, Mark Gravois and wife Terri, Chelsea Gravois Fabre and husband Matthew, Taylor Gravois and wife Ashley, Colin Gravois, Alex Gravois and wife Mary Grace, Gavin Gravois and wife Morgan, AJ Gravois, Laurie Gravois, and Brooke Gravois.

She is also survived by her great grandchildren: Lane Gravois, Bryce Gravois, Ava Gravois, Benjamin Gravois, Christopher Gravois, Lillie Gravois, Abigail Fabre, Eleanor Fabre, Jackson Fabre, Raegan Gravois, Julia Gravois, Alexander Gravois, Jacob Gravois, Michael Gravois, Addison Gravois, Karmyn Martinez and William Martinez.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Albert J. Gravois, daughters Laurie and Michelle Gravois, and her son Gregory Gravois. She is also preceded in death by her parents Lucien J. Steib and Angele Gravois Steib and her brother Marion J. Steib.

Mrs. Gravois was the Registrar of Voters for St. James Parish for 36 years. She was also the President of the Registrar of Voters Association and a member of the St. Phillip Catholic Daughters #1504 .

Visitation will be held on Thursday May 1, 2014, at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church in Vacherie, LA from 10:00 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow in church cemetery. Services under the direction of Ourso Funeral Home, Donaldsonville.
