

Anthony Joseph Scorsone, 72, died on Monday, March 04, 2013 after a courageous 2 ½ years of battling cancer, surrounded by his loving family. He was known to many people by several different nicknames, "Cuz", "Tony the Barber", "A.J," and "Hick". Anthony was a barber for over 50 years. He was a former co-owner of Hick's Snoball stand. He served in the Louisiana National Guard. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and was an usher at St. Pius Catholic Church. He had a love for music and flowers. Anthony is survived by daughter, Toni Scorsone Ourso of Donaldsonville; son and daughter-in-law, Michael Anthony and Mary Beth Folse Scorsone of Vacherie; five grandchildren, Nicolas Ourso of Donaldsonville, Katherine, Caroline, Elizabeth, and Amelia Scorsone of Vacherie; and sister and brother-in-law, Mary Agnes Scorsone and Arnold "Louis" Landry of Denham Springs. Preceded in death by wife, Lollie Lou Brooks Scorsone; parents, Nicolas and Lucy Scorsone; and son-in-law, Larry Joseph Ourso Jr. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 6, 2013 at 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. and on Thursday, March 7, 2013 at 8:00 a.m. – 10: 30 a.m. at Ourso Funeral Home in Donaldsonville. Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11:00 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Donaldsonville. Entombment to follow at Ascension of Our Lord Catholic Mausoleum in Donaldsonville.
