

Bernice M. Rivere, 87, died on August 6, 2012 at Gonzales Health Care Center. She was a native of Napoleonville. She is survived by her two daughters, Mary Lynn Landry and Cynthia Eileen Rivere; son, Allen J. Rivere; daughter-in-law, Virgie Blanchard; sister, Pearl Thibodaux; brother Preston Domingue Sr.; 11 grandchildren, Elizabeth Falsetta, Melissa Hearn, Amy Hebert, Bruce Hebert, Clinton P. Rivere Jr. (Peter Jr.), Crystal and Angie Cavalier, Geanna Ackman, Dane, Brandi, and Brad Landry; 16 great grandchildren, Rustin Guillot, Blane and Lexxie Falsetta, Neil J. Dupre Jr., Haze, Billie, and Landyn Hebert, Elaina and Kyra Rivere, Heaven and Kye Blanchard, Lee Hebert, Cedric, Sierra, and Gavin Cavalier; two great-great grandchildren, Jordan M. Gautreaux and Rustin F. Durocher.
Preceded in death by her husband, Mervin F. Rivere; parents Mr. and Mrs. Albert Domingue; brother, Joseph Domingue; two sisters, Eunice Adams and Bessie Acosta.
She will be greatly missed by many and is loved by everyone who’s life she entered. To many of her close loved ones, she was better known as maw-maw Bernie or Mee Mees. She was a very selfless and family oriented woman.
Pallbearers will be Brad Falsetta, Craig Hearn, David Adams, Blane Falsetta, Bruce Hebert, Mike Landry, Autry LaCoste, Clinton P. Rivere, and Danny LeBlanc.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 8, 2012 at 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. and on Thursday, August 9, 2012 at 8:00 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. at Ourso Funeral Home in Donaldsonville. Mass of Christian Burial to follow at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Paincourtville at 11:00 a.m.
Entombment to follow in church mausoleum.
