Bret John Louque

Bret John Louque, 54, born in White Castle, La. He passed away peacefully at his home in Belle Rose surrounded by loving family and friends. He loved his Thursday night date nights with his daughter, Caroline. Bret treasured his time hunting and fishing with Colby and many friends and family at the camp and bayou. In his spare time he enjoyed wood working. Bret worked for Turner Industries at Exxon in Baton Rouge for 30 years. Bret is survived by his loving wife and partner in crime, of 35 years, Jamie Ann Acosta Louque; son and daughter-in-law, Colby and Katelyn; daughter, Caroline Louque; and granddaughter, Emma Louque; grand pup, Raleigh aka “Pup”; parents, Hubert and Diane Louque; brother and sister-in-law, Wendel and Nan Louque; mother-in-law, Ruth Acosta; and numerous family and friends. Preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Raymond and Dorothy Louque; maternal grandparents, Etienne and Mabel LeBlanc; and father-in-law; James Acosta, Sr. Relatives and Friends are invited to attend visitation on Wednesday, April 21, 2021 at 8:00 a.m.- 11:30 a.m. at Ourso Funeral Home in Donaldsonville, La. Mass of Christian Burial to follow at St. Jules Catholic Church in Belle Rose at 12:00 p.m. Interment to follow at St. Jules Catholic Church Mausoleum. Officiated by Rev. Matthew Graham. Pallbearers will be Larry Bouchereau, Todd Legendre, Bernard Bergeron, Ray Theriot, Kurt Lanoix, Hunter Louque, Alan Burns, and Taylor Marcello. Honorary Pallbearer will be Wendel Louque. Arrangements under the direction of Ourso Funeral Home in Donaldsonville. Family would like to give a special thank you to a very special nurse that took good care of him, his niece Brittany Rodriguez. Also, a special thank you to Dr. Vince Cataldo at Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center.
