Carolyn Schaubhut Hartley, 78, died on Saturday, January 4, 2014. She was a resident of Donaldsonville. She attended LSU and Nicholls and was Past President of ASHA, the Donaldsonville Music Club, and the Ladies Elk Auxilary and was a member of the Donaldsonville Book Club. Carolyn is survived by her mother, Hazel Marchand Schaubhut; daughters, Kay Lynne Hartley and Claire Hartley Grogan and husband Mike; son and daughter-in-law, Wyatt and Daelyn Hartley; granddaughter, Shelby Gene Hartley; sister, Darwin S. Martin; brother, Lawrence P. Schaubhut; and her dog Kisses.
Preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Gene Hartley; father, Murvin Schaubhut; sister, Gail; and brother, Wayne.
A memorial gathering will be held on Wednesday, January 8, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. until Prayer Service at Ourso Funeral Home in Donaldsonville at 11:00 a.m.. A reception is to follow at Ascension of Our Lord Community Center in Donaldsonville.
