Cherie Bessonet

Cherie Medine Bessonet, 57, passed away on Monday, January 07, 2013 surrounded by her family at home in Donaldsonville. She is survived by her loving husband of 38years, Lynn J. Bessonet; two daughters, Shaina Bessonet Landry of Belle Rose and Naomi A. Bessonet of Metairie; two grandchildren, Keely and Brennan Landry; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Randy and Debra Medine, Glenn and Jenifer Medine, and Bunnell Jr. and Karla Medine; and numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Preceded in death by her parents, Bunell Medine, Sr. and Olinda Richard Medine and brother, Michael Medine, Sr.

Pallbearers will be Michael Medine Jr., Brad Medine, Layne Medine, Justin Medine, Jared Medine, Hunter Medine and Dr. Calvin Bessont III.

Family would like to give a special thanks to Doctors and Staff at Ochsner Hospital in New Orleans, Dr. Glen Schexnayder, Dr. W. Charles Conway II, Dr. Suma Satti, St. Joseph Hospice, Cancer Services of Baton Rouge, and also to family members and friends for their assistance, prayers, and support.

Visitation will be held at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Smokebend at 9:00 a.m. on Friday, January 11, 2013 until Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Entombment to follow in church mausoleum. Reception to follow in church hall.
