I had the pleasure of working with Cool Pop for about a year and he made me laugh every single time I saw him. One time, he found out I was having some issues in my personal life and for the next month every couple of days he would bring me red beans or mashed potatoes from Popeyes (my favorite) to cheer me up. He would drop it off in my office with a smile and a joke every time. It was so thoughtful and I think it represents two key pieces of who he was: a great friend, and a fried chicken fanatic. He had a schedule of what fried chicken places he would go to for lunch each day. One time when we got back to work after the thanksgiving holiday, someone asked him if he finally ate something besides fried chicken and he said nope my dad fried a chicken for me on thanksgiving. He kept us all laughing and I’m so thankful for those memories. I don’t know anything about instrumentation or electrical work but I do know that every single person there would tell you Cool Pop was the man to call. He will be sorely missed.
